Dairy Queen is seeking a friendly, dependable team member to help create a welcoming experience for guests. This role supports daily restaurant operations by preparing and serving menu items, processing orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work workplace. Prior food service or restaurant experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn and provide attentive customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests, answer questions, take orders, and provide prompt, courteous customer service.
- Use the POS system to enter orders and process transactions; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, provide change, and complete basic cashiering tasks.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and cleaning practices in dining, service, and kitchen areas.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and shared spaces clean and organized throughout each shift.
- Use basic math to verify orders, handle transactions,



and measure or portion ingredients.
- Support teammates during busy periods and manage tasks efficiently using strong time management.
- Help guests choose menu items and make relevant recommendations through courteous upselling.

Requirements

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- Ability to follow instructions and food safety, food handling, and sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail when taking orders and handling transactions.
- Reliability, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Food preparation, cashiering, cash handling, or serving experience is an asset.
- Food service, restaurant, food industry, or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- POS experience is helpful; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
