Job Overview

Our practice is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will provide exceptional preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care, ensuring our patients maintain healthy smiles while feeling completely safe, relaxed, and comfortable during their visits. You will educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, available treatment options, and preventive care, expertly adapting your explanations to meet each individual's unique needs and level of understanding.

Working side by side with our dentists and administrative team, you will help support a high standard of seamless, patient centered care. To qualify for this role, candidates must hold a current dental hygiene license and all required provincial certifications. We are looking for a team member who exhibits solid professionalism, a sharp attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

- Review patient health histories, identify relevant concerns, and document findings accurately.
- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, and other hygiene procedures within the scope of licensure.
- Take and review dental radiographs as permitted by applicable regulations and office protocols.
- Provide individualized guidance on brushing, flossing, and other preventive care.
- Recognize changes in oral health and communicate findings or concerns to the dentist.




- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures.
- Support a welcoming patient experience through clear communication and strong customer service.
- Coordinate with the team on patient flow, follow-up care, and treatment planning.

Qualifications

- Current dental hygiene license in good standing and required certifications for the position.
- Dental office experience is preferred; experience with Maxident or similar practice-management software is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and accurate clinical documentation is beneficial.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is welcome, but not required.
- Dental assisting experience is a plus.
- Bilingual communication skills are valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively with patients of varied ages and backgrounds.
- Experience with specialized duties (such as soft-tissue management programs or local anesthesia certification) is highly preferred and will be recognized within our competitive compensation package.
