Job Summary

We are seeking experienced concrete workers for a large-scale construction project in Edmonton. Candidates must have hands-on experience in concrete formwork preparation, pin-on curb installation, concrete placement, and finishing.

This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 2–3 weeks. Successful candidates will work as part of a construction crew to complete concrete work safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

- Prepare work areas for concrete construction, including grading, levelling, and surface preparation.
- Measure, assemble, install, align, and secure concrete formwork.
- Install pin-on curbs, ensuring proper positioning, alignment, and elevations.
- Prepare and install reinforcement materials, including rebar, as required.
- Place, spread, screed, level, and consolidate concrete.
- Perform concrete finishing, including floating, trowelling, edging, and broom finishing.
- Verify completed work meets required dimensions, grades, and finishing standards.
- Safely operate concrete tools, finishing equipment, and power tools.
- Strip and clean formwork and maintain an organized work area.
- Follow construction drawings, site instructions, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with crew members to complete assigned work within project timelines.

Requirements





- Minimum 1 year of relevant concrete construction experience required; 2 years preferred.
- Hands-on experience in concrete formwork, pin-on curb installation, and concrete finishing is mandatory.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings, take accurate measurements, and work to specified grades and elevations.
- Proficiency with concrete construction tools and finishing equipment.
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor construction work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a crew.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Compensation & Employment Details

- Pay: $30.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Employment: Full time, temporary.
- Duration: Approximately 2–3 weeks.
- Work Location: 4710 120 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta (on-site).
