Job Summary The Food and Beverage Server provides attentive, welcoming service to guests in a restaurant or hospitality setting. This role involves taking and delivering orders, answering menu questions, processing transactions, and maintaining clean, sanitary service areas. Candidates should enjoy working with people and be comfortable collaborating with front-of-house and kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Welcome guests, provide menus, and offer prompt, courteous customer service and guest services.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system; experience with Micros POS is an asset.
- Serve food and beverages, check in with guests, and respond professionally to requests or concerns.
- Explain menu items and ingredients, including relevant food safety or food handling information.
- Suggest menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques while respecting guest preferences.
- Process payments and receipts using cashiering procedures; handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to communicate orders, special requests, and timing.




- Assist with basic food preparation or other service tasks as needed and within established procedures.
- Keep dining, service, and work areas clean by following sanitation standards.
- Follow workplace procedures for safe food handling, cleanliness, and guest service.

Skills

- Solid hospitality, communication, and customer service skills.
- Serving, food service experience, or restaurant experience preferred; experience in the food industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform basic food preparation and work effectively with a kitchen team; kitchen experience is beneficial.
- Accurate basic math and math skills for order entry, bills, and payments.
- Confidence with cashiering and cash handling.
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain courteous and composed while managing multiple tasks in a busy setting.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
