Job Summary The Chopped Leaf The Food Store team member supports daily store and food-service operations by preparing and serving food, assisting customers, and processing transactions accurately. This role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering attentive customer service.

Duties

- Prepare and serve food according to established recipes, procedures, and food-safety practices.

- Greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient service.

- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS where applicable, to enter orders and process transactions.

- Handle cash and other payments accurately; provide correct change and follow cash-handling procedures.

- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience.

- Restock supplies and keep food-preparation, service, and dining areas clean and organized.

- Follow food-handling, sanitation, and food-safety standards,



including proper storage and cleaning procedures.

- Use basic math to process orders, verify transactions, and assist with routine inventory tasks.

- Manage time effectively while balancing food preparation, serving, cashiering, and customer needs.

Qualifications

- Customer service experience; food service, restaurant, kitchen, or food-industry experience is preferred.

- Familiarity with food preparation, serving, food handling, and sanitation practices.

- Cashiering and cash-handling experience is preferred.

- Experience using a POS system; Micros POS experience is a plus.

- Basic math and general math skills, with attention to accuracy.

- Solid time-management, communication, and teamwork skills.

- Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area and follow food-safety procedure
