Overview

- We are seeking a detail-oriented Garde Manger to prepare and present cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and other menu items in a professional kitchen.

- This role supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.

- The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced food service environment and takes pride in consistent, appealing food preparation.

Duties

- Prepare salads, cold appetizers, dressings, garnishes, sandwiches, and other items assigned to the garde manger station.

- Complete meal preparation by washing, cutting, portioning, and storing ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.

- Assist with cooking and other kitchen tasks as needed to support service.

- Plate and garnish dishes attractively, ensuring accuracy and consistency before they are served.

- Maintain proper food handling, labeling, storage, and temperature practices in accordance with food safety requirements.

- Keep the station, tools,



and work areas clean and organized throughout each shift.

- Coordinate with kitchen colleagues to prepare orders promptly and support courteous, effective serving.

- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate team member.

Experience

- Previous food service experience is preferred; restaurant experience or kitchen experience is an advantage.

- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and safe food storage is preferred.

- Experience with food preparation, meal preparation, or work in the food industry is helpful.

- Strong attention to detail, organization, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen are important.

- Willingness to follow recipes, kitchen procedures, and food safety standards is required.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
