The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. The ZT1 Labs group is a small, senior team of product and engineering experts working directly with the CEO on the company’s most important new bets.

We are looking for a Group Product Manager to lead a portfolio of ZT1 initiatives in a hands‑on builder role, with direct product ownership and with no direct people management responsibilities.

Understand

Customers & Strategic Context

Build a deep understanding of Affim’s global network of users, merchants, and partners.

Connect customer insights and market trends to long‑term company strategy to identify where zero‑to‑one innovation can drive outsized impact.

Track relevant product, technology, and industry shifts and use them to inform product direction. Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to define problem spaces and opportunity areas that matter most for Affim’s future.

Define crisp outcomes and success metrics tied directly to business impact (GMV, profitability, conversion, retention, long‑term moat). Lead Zero-to-One Product Development

Own the full UI/UX, using AI tools to build and iterate on working prototypes that make product ideas tangible and testable.

Write and refine customer‑facing copy across the product experience, from onboarding to in‑product guidance.

Independently analyze customer behavior, build funnels, and use data to identify opportunities and guide product decisions.

Own experimentation end to end, including hypotheses, test design, success metrics, results analysis, and iteration.

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to sync ZT1 roadmaps with core product roadmaps, ensuring high product quality, an aligned user experience, and cohesive business results. Lead a cross‑functional group (engineering, design, data, risk, capital, operations, revenue, legal and compliance) through ambiguous and complex work.

Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team on new product bets, tradeoffs, and prioritization.

Communicate clearly and often - framing decisions, risks, and tradeoffs; writing high‑quality docs; Model strong product thinking, rigor, and judgment for senior peers without managing them directly.

Help shape the culture and operating model of the ZT1 function. 8–10+ years of product management experience with a strong track record shipping and scaling consumer‑facing or platform products.

Previous ownership of technical software products end-to-end and ability to clearly articulate the business impact.

Experience working closely with engineering, data, design, and other teams without direct authority.

Ability to spot opportunities, build from scratch, test quickly, and take ownership of outcomes. Hands‑on fluency with AI tools for prototyping, design, content, and analysis, with the judgment to evaluate and refine the output.

Comfortable doing the work directly without dedicated design, analytics, or content partners.

Solid communicator capable of securing alignment and decisions from broad groups of senior stakeholders with differing priorities.

Adept at influencing engineering teams outside your reporting line—able to guide them toward building what the product needs.

Strong commercial instincts - able to contribute to pitches, negotiations, and contract evaluations when product work intersects with business strategy. Comfortable moving between strategy and execution - from long‑term roadmap thinking to writing specs or digging into edge cases.

Deep sense of ownership - holds a high bar for quality and ships products on time.

Mission‑driven and customer‑obsessed, motivated to build honest, transparent financial products.

Equity

Grade - 9 Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.) Location - Remote Canada

This remote role is open only to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan. Remote‑first with flexibility built in

Affim is proud to be a remote‑first company. Some positions may occasionally require in‑person work at an Affim office, and a few are office‑based due to the nature of the work.

Health coverage at no cost: Flexible time off and generous holiday calendars help you rest when you need to.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive interview process, including accommodations for candidates with disabilities. If you need support, we’re happy to help.
