Overview

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Liquor Store Clerk to support daily retail operations. The ideal candidate enjoys helping customers, maintaining an organized sales floor, and providing friendly, efficient service. This role involves cashiering, merchandising, and recommending products while following store procedures and applicable age-verification requirements.

We are looking for 2 individuals, 1 at our NE Location and 1 at our SE location (must be able to drive) to fill in some days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit.
- Process purchases accurately using the POS system, including cashiering, cash handling, and basic transaction troubleshooting.
- Use basic math to verify payments, provide correct change, and assist with routine register tasks.
- Recommend products and use appropriate upselling techniques based on customer preferences and store offerings.
- Maintain attractive displays through merchandising, restocking, and keeping shelves and the sales floor clean and organized.
- Share product information and, when appropriate, provide brief product demos or explanations of featured items.
- Support retail sales goals through knowledgeable service and professional customer interactions.




- Answer store calls with professional phone etiquette and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers, using strong communication skills and a courteous approach.
- Manage competing tasks with effective time management and organizational skills.
- Follow store policies, including procedures for verifying customer age and handling restricted products.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, cash handling, retail sales, or sales is helpful.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is preferred; technology sales or technical sales experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and handle transactions accurately.
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a busy retail environment.
- Professional phone etiquette and a willingness to learn about store products.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are welcome; proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
