Men are dying too young - and it doesn’t have to be that way. Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.
Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a mustache-powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. This is a newly created role in our Canadian mental health team, and it’s been built because the portfolio has grown to the point where great program coordination deserves its own dedicated focus.
As Mental Health
Coordinator, Canada, you’ll provide the operational and administrative backbone for Movember’s mental health programs across the country. Working across the full portfolio, including sport-health, esports and gaming, community, research, online, and youth advisory, you’ll keep projects organised, documented, and on track, coordinating schedules, meetings, events, and records, and acting as the central coordination point for activity data and outcomes reporting. Day to day, you’ll support the execution of approved implementation plans, handle partner and event administration, and help the broader team stay clear on deliverables, timelines, and interdependencies.
You’ll coordinate meetings across time zones, prepare reports for a range of audiences from government and funders to operational partners, monitor budgets and process invoices, and maintain the kind of centralised, well‑organised project documentation that keeps a quick-moving team audit‑ready and well‑governed. A distinctive part of this role is supporting the administration of the Canadian youth advisory and the Global Youth Advisory Network. That means managing onboarding, scheduling, opportunity coordination, and remuneration and expense administration for young advisors, all under agreed safeguarding practice.
You’ll report to the Director, Mental Health, Canada,
and work closely with the Senior Manager and Program Manager, as well as cross‑functional teams across Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, and Policy and Advocacy. This is a role for someone who takes real pride in the craft of coordination, keeps things organised without becoming rigid, and is genuinely motivated by the belief that getting the operational details right is what allows ambitious mental health programs to actually reach young men. Based in Toronto, 12‑month fixed term contract.
At least three years of experience in project coordination within health, community, youth advisory, sport, or the not-for-profit sector. Demonstrated project coordination, time management, problem‑solving, and risk identification and management skills. Working knowledge of project monitoring frameworks, evaluation, and learning.
Sound data management skills and good judgement handling confidential and sensitive information, including young people’s personal data, in line with privacy and safeguarding requirements. Proficiency with work management and collaboration tools such as Asana and Microsoft 365, and confidence presenting data and reports. Comfort with budget monitoring and financial administration, including tracking spend, processing invoices, purchase orders, and expenses in Excel.
A genuine passion for improving young men’s mental health through evidence‑based programs. Ability to thrive in a diverse, cross‑functional, and globally distributed team, with role expectations that flex by project.
Not Mission
Critical -but for extra bonus points: Experience in sport, esports and gaming, community health, clinical health,
or youth advisory settings. Proficiency with AI tools and Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning, impact reporting, or grant administration.
Experience working with young people, for example in youth advisory or co‑design settings, with an awareness of safeguarding practice. Applied skills in mental health program delivery, event management, and relationship management. Bilingual in English and French, which is an asset for the Canadian market.
Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives. We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide.
By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve. We love weekends. But we also love our office vibe.
Be it an office‑wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on‑site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off.
GOOD CREW: Spoiler alert: we’re a no‑ego, all‑impact crew. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health.
Movember is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community and workplace - a place where we can all be ourselves, and each have the equal opportunity to succeed and be recognised for our unique contribution. We use our AI mate Joel to help with the first stage of screening. It lets more great candidates move past the application stage and into the process faster.
And if you’d rather skip Joel and chat with a recruiter instead, you’ll always have that option. #
