Job Overview

Superior Yardworks is looking for a dependable, versatile, and hardworking Multi-Skilled Construction Labourer to join our team. This hands-on position involves a wide range of construction and landscaping projects, including basement waterproofing, foundation repair, house lifting, insulation, concrete finishing, retaining walls, decks, and fences.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is willing to learn. You will work alongside our team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and the ability to plan ahead are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Perform basement waterproofing, including surface preparation and installation of Blueskin membrane.
- Assist with foundation repairs, insulation, and house lifting projects.
- Complete concrete work, including preparation, placement, and finishing.
- Build and repair retaining walls, decks, and fences.
- Perform grading, soil placement, sod installation, and general landscaping work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project instructions.
- Plan daily tasks with the team, prepare material lists, and organize the tools and supplies needed for upcoming work.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain quality workmanship.
- Operate skid steers, excavators of various sizes, front-end loaders, and plow trucks as trained and authorized.
- Perform snow plowing and winter maintenance duties.
- Follow safety protocols and applicable regulations.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications




- Valid driver’s licence: minimum G2 required; full G preferred.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing more than 50 lb and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Punctual and dependable, arriving on time and ready to work.
- Willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions, and take direction.
- Ability to work well with others and stay productive when completing tasks independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to plan ahead, organize daily tasks, and identify required materials.
- Experience in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, concrete finishing, carpentry, and landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Heavy equipment operation and snow plowing experience are preferred but not required.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 12-hour days.
- Every second Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Winter work includes snow plowing and snow removal.
