The Deceased Donor
Coordinator guides each step of the donation process including donor identification through referral indicators, donor suitability assessment, declaration, approach and consent with families, to the medical donor management optimizing organ and tissue yield for recipient transplantation. After each donation there is family follow-up and support and information transfer with donation and recipient programs.
