As part of that growth, we’re looking for an OTR Tire Technician or OTR Tire Technician Trainee who takes pride in their work, values safety, and wants to build a long-term career in mining. OTR Tire Technician As an OTR Tire Technician/ OTR Tire Technician Trainee, you will perform all aspects of tire service and repair for mining equipment, while upholding Kal Tire’s safety standards and service expectations.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational uptime and setting the standard for service excellence on site. Full training will be provided as a part of onboarding for candidates without prior OTR tire technician experience Site Details Shift Options: 14/14 rotations, 12-hour days Bus in, Bus out (BIBO) provided from Sudbury and Timmins Hourly rate: $34.84 Travel bursary may be available to eligible team members Health, dental, and vision perks Employee Assistance Program Ongoing training and development opportunities Perform mounting, dismounting, balancing, and repair of mining tires Conduct inspections to ensure safety and performance standards are met Operate tire service equipment (manipulators, forklifts, service trucks) Work closely with site maintenance teams to support operations Support inventory management of tire-related materials Follow all site safety procedures and hygiene standards Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement Experience as a tire technician is preferred Experience in mining industry is strongly preferred Experience with haul trucks and loaders with protection chains is an asset Strong mechanical aptitude Physically capable of handling heavy materials safely Criminal record check At Kal Tire, we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best work.
