As Principal Geotechnical

Engineer, you will support WSP’s Dams and Tailings Practice within Ground Engineering. Your work spans water-retention structures, mining dams, mine waste storage facilities, closure designs, and tailings management plans. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through investigations, design, construction support, and closure.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as Alberta dams practice Qualified Skilled
- Lead dam practice growth and client relationships
- Develop dam and mine waste strategies
- Direct investigations, monitoring, reviews,



and field data collection
- Manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and clients Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility with APEGA
- 15+ years designing dams and mine waste structures
- Knowledge of Alberta, GISTM, and CDA guidelines
- Valid unrestricted Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence Bring dam design, geotechnical analysis, and leadership expertise to WSP projects across Western Canada’s infrastructure landscape.
