Bayview Medical Centre is a medical clinic located in North York comprising of family physicians, registered practical nurses, and other healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a part time permanent nurse(s) to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Triage patients, conduct screening, and manage appointment schedules with the medical receptionists

- Perform basic nursing skills, measure vitals, administer immunization and medications/treatments prescribed by the doctor, provide injections, obtain electrocardiogram, apply dressings

- Order and maintain clinic supplies and equipment, and vaccine inventory

- Sterilize instruments, sanitize examination/procedural rooms between use, and documentation

- Answer phone calls in an evening or after-hours clinic to help triage

Requirements

- Post-secondary degree in nursing (BScN) or equivalent from a recognized institution

- Current registration with the Colleges of Nursing of Ontario and in good standing





- Clinical experience in nursing

- Experience in primary care setting (preferred)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing duties and problem solving skills

- Well organized and able to multi-task

- Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in patient care

- Works effectively with other professionals in an interdisciplinary setting to maintain a healthy and positive work environment

- Proficient computer skills, training provided for EMR software (Telus CHR)

- Available to work flexible hours including evenings and coverage for vacation and sick days

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
