We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Forage & Faire, a locally owned herbal apothecary, natural wellness shop, and tea bar in downtown Abbotsford.

Our shop brings together traditional herbalism, natural health products, skincare, aromatherapy, loose-leaf teas, and thoughtfully sourced goods for everyday living. We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, has a genuine interest in natural wellness, and can help create the warm, welcoming experience that makes Forage & Faire special.

This role combines retail sales, customer service, cashiering, tea bar service, and general store upkeep. Previous knowledge of herbalism, natural health, or specialty teas is a significant asset, but we're happy to train someone who is curious and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers into our apothecary, learn about their needs, and provide friendly, thoughtful service and product recommendations.
- Support retail sales by explaining products, answering questions, and helping customers explore our selection of herbal remedies, supplements, natural skincare, aromatherapy, teas, and other goods.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages from our tea bar, including loose-leaf teas, herbal lattes, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and preparation standards.
- Assist with daily tea bar operations, including ingredient preparation, restocking, cleaning equipment, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate the POS system, process purchases and returns, and handle cash and other payment methods accurately.
- Assist with merchandising, including restocking shelves,



organizing inventory, and maintaining attractive, thoughtfully arranged product displays.
- Help keep the retail floor, apothecary, and tea bar clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the day.
- Develop a working knowledge of our products and their traditional uses, referring customers to our herbalists or management when questions require specialized knowledge or guidance.
- Assist with online order inquiries, packing orders, and other e-commerce tasks as needed.
- Work closely with coworkers to support daily store operations, special events, workshops, and other in-store activities.

Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly, approachable personality and a genuine enjoyment of working with people.
- An interest in herbalism, natural health, aromatherapy, specialty teas, or holistic wellness. Previous knowledge or experience is an asset, but not required.
- Comfort with retail sales, cashiering, cash handling, and learning to use a POS system.
- Willingness to prepare beverages, follow recipes, and maintain proper food handling and cleanliness standards.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tidy, well-stocked retail and tea bar spaces.
- Ability to multitask and work comfortably in a busy retail workplace, balancing customer service, beverage preparation, and daily store tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn about our products, merchandising practices, and e-commerce procedures.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour Expected hours: 14.0 – 20.0 per week
