Lead school cafeteria operations at District 211 using food purchasing, sanitation, and staff supervision skills. Support organized daily food service programs. The Food and Nutrition Services Assistant Manager works with the Manager to operate an assigned building’s cafeteria efficiently.

This position supervises food service staff, supports quality service, and maintains nutrition, safety, financial accountability, and customer service standards. It also requires school food service management experience.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily cafeteria and kitchen operations Train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate food service employees Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory records Monitor food production, portions, quality, and established procedures Assume daily operations when the Manager is absent Requirements: Knowledge of food purchasing and sanitation procedures Experience in school food service management Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Proficiency with point of sale systems Ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds Apply leadership, food service management, sanitation, and customer service skills supporting District 211 cafeteria operations and staff.
