About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end technical architecture of a greenfield Commercial Lines insurance platform covering Commercial Property and Commercial Package Policy (CPP).

The ideal candidate will bring strong P&C; insurance domain expertise, microservices architecture experience, and a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise platforms from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the architecture and technical design of a greenfield Commercial Lines insurance platform.
- Design microservices architecture using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded contexts, and event-driven patterns.
- Define Kafka-based event models, API contracts, service boundaries, and data ownership.
- Develop insurance data models covering accounts, policies, coverages, locations, buildings, and exposures.
- Architect rating engines, underwriting rules, premium transaction ledgers, and policy workflows.
- Design secure integrations with insurance management systems, third-party data providers, and payment platforms.
- Produce technical architecture deliverables, including C4 diagrams, ADRs, OpenAPI specifications, and data models.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Data Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.

Required Skills & Experience





- 8+ years in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
- Robust P&C; Insurance experience, preferably Commercial Lines (Commercial Property / CPP).
- Proven experience delivering at least one greenfield microservices platform into production.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Strong API architecture expertise, including REST APIs, OpenAPI 3.1, API versioning, and integration patterns.
- Experience designing complex insurance data models, rating engines, and underwriting workflows.
- Knowledge of immutable transaction ledgers, auditability, effective-dating, and financial reconciliation.
- Ability to translate architecture into actionable technical specifications for engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or custom-built insurance platforms.
- Knowledge of reinsurance, quota share, multi-carrier allocation, and bordereaux reporting.
- Experience integrating IVANS, EZLynx, and other insurance industry systems.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
