Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. This hands-on role helps ensure that every dish is prepared to a high standard, the kitchen runs efficiently, and food safety practices are followed consistently. The ideal candidate brings kitchen or restaurant experience, strong leadership, and a team-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties

- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking, and timely service.
- Supervise and support kitchen team members, helping assign tasks and maintain an organized workflow.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and service requirements.
- Monitor food handling, storage, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with food safety practices.
- Check ingredients and prepared dishes for freshness, consistency, and presentation.
- Help manage kitchen inventory, track supplies, and communicate replenishment needs.
- Train and guide team members on preparation methods, kitchen procedures, and safe work practices.




- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to support smooth food service and a positive guest experience.
- Assist with restaurant management tasks as needed, including opening or closing procedures and service coordination.
- Support bartending or serving duties when needed to help meet operational needs.

Skills

- Previous kitchen experience, restaurant experience, or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling is required.
- Food service experience and familiarity with hospitality standards are an asset.
- Supervising experience, team management, or restaurant management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively and stay composed in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Bartending or serving experience is helpful but not required.

Pay: $17.60-$27.60 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
