As a Staff individual contributor, you will own application, transaction, and account takeover fraud strategy across card products. You will work independently with manager-level impact, guiding data scientists and analytics developers through expertise and influence. The role balances fraud losses, operational costs, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities: Own fraud strategy across Wealthsimple card products

Manage card fraud loss budgets as volumes grow

Design, backtest, ship, and tune detection rules

Set thresholds for machine learning risk scores

Partner with Product and Engineering on fraud controls

Requirements: 6+ years of fraud prevention experience

3+ years directly working on card fraud

Advanced SQL for transaction-level data

Experience building and tuning fraud rules

Ability to influence without direct authority

Bring card fraud strategy, advanced SQL, and influence to protect Wealthsimple clients while minimizing unnecessary friction.
