Master optical integration and test for Photonic’s quantum control systems at its onsite Coquitlam, British Columbia facilities. Use fiber-array alignment and optical measurements daily. As a Production Technician, you will qualify fiber arrays and verify optical paths connecting control units, racks, cryostats, and qubits. The Operations Team relies on your hands-on testing, careful documentation, and clean optical handling. You will collaborate with Hardware Controls Engineering, TPI technicians, Assembly, cryogenic technicians, and Precision Mechanical and Metrology.Key Responsibilities:
Qualify fiber arrays through polish, insertion-loss, and cold testingMount and align arrays using defined alignment proceduresPerform integration tests across optical units, racks,
and cryostatsVerify end-to-end paths against channel loss budgetsDocument results, procedures, channel maps, and labelling standardsRequirements:
Three or more years in optical, photonics, or fiber assemblyDiploma in photonics, laser optics, electronics technology, or equivalentExperience measuring insertion loss and return lossExperience handling fiber connectors, bare fiber, and arraysAbility to follow procedures and document results clearlyApply optical testing, fiber alignment, and exact documentation to Photonic’s quantum systems in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
