Tim-Br-Fab Industries, a COR certified, 100% Canadian owned manufacturer of roof and floor trusses and supplier of pre-engineered wood products, is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Truss Designer at our Oak Bluff, MB Branch.

Senior Truss Designer – Oak Bluff Branch

Get ready to build your career as we continue to build our company. As a valuable member of our truss plant team your duties will include:

- Designing roof trusses and floor trusses as well as wall panels and I joist design according to specifications and requirements.
- Implement design changes and communicating with other related departments to ensure designs are accurate.
- Providing quotes and estimates to customers
- Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with our Safety Program, policies and procedures.
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

The successful candidate will:

- Provide professional customer service, product information and technical support to both internal and external customers
- Have strong communication skills both written and verbal the ability to clearly express thoughts in conversation.
- Displays a desire to expand their knowledge and skill set
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Educational and Training Requirements:

- CAD Software Certificate (or equivalent work experience preferred)




- Drafting and design experience in the Construction industry.
- Proficiency with Mitek truss design software. Training to be offered on the job.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, or reliable transportation.
- Understanding of current Canadian National Building Codes relevant to commercial, residential and farm buildings.
