Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics to identify vehicle issues accurately using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, and other physically demanding tasks to ensure a safe working environment
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate precise repairs and part replacements
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and answering customer questions professionally
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience demonstrating strong automotive repair skills
- Proficiency with welding techniques and the use of power tools for various repair tasks
- Solid mechanical knowledge across different vehicle makes and models
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions for accurate diagnostics
- Excellent hand tool skills combined with maintenance expertise to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs
