Dexter Construction, part of the Municipal group of Companies is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a CAD Technician based out of Bedford, NS. Primary Duties And Responsibilities
• Perform earthwork volumetric computations.
• Develop plans and calculate material takeoffs in Civil 3D.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Aggressively seek out opportunities to provide support as a value-added member of the team.
• Ensure CAD standards and procedures are followed for all drawings and calculations.
• Work closely and collaborate with Estimating Team
• Any other duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AutoCad Civil 3D.
• Experience in current civil construction methods.
• Remotely Piloted Aircraft System experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to interpret Geotechnical Reports.




• Suitable candidates require previous experience or training in a CAD Technician role, ideally from a survey/highways/mining/construction background.
• Post-secondary education with a concentration in surveying/engineering is preferred.
• Experience with MS Office Suite would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team environment.
