Borts HVAC & Electrical is looking for an experienced HVAC Installer to join our team in Sudbury. We’re seeking a reliable professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others, and provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC equipment, including ductless systems, heat pumps, natural gas and propane furnaces, air conditioners, ductwork, and thermostats.
- Complete equipment connections and installation work according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Start up, test, and commission systems to confirm proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Explain equipment operation and basic maintenance to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Work with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous residential HVAC installation experience is required.
- Valid G2 Gas Technician Certificate.
- 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Certificate is an asset, but not required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, installation practices, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and secure work practices.
- Ability to perform physical installation work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
