About Us
Carr Landscape Depot is a landscape supply yard in Barrie. We serve contractors and homeowners with bulk aggregates, soil, mulch, hardscape and natural stone. Our sister company, Carr Excavating, handles site work and foundations across the region. We’re a busy, growing, family-run operation with a close team of drivers, yard crew, inside sales and office staff. We work hard, we do things right, and we take care of our people.

The Role
We’re looking for a Controller to run the financial and administrative side of both companies. You’ll be the person who keeps the money moving, the books clean, and the paperwork in order, so the yard and the field crews can focus on the work. You’ll report directly to the owner and have real ownership over how the office runs. Our whole business runs on SAP Business One, so you’ll need to know it well from day one.

What You’ll Do

- Run the company’s finances in SAP Business One, our core operating system, and keep the data clean and accurate
- Manage accounts payable: supplier invoices, approvals, payment runs and vendor relationships
- Manage accounts receivable: customer invoicing, contractor accounts, collections and credit follow-up
- Handle banking: deposits, reconciliations, cash flow tracking and day-to-day dealings with the bank
- Prepare and maintain employee contracts, onboarding paperwork and personnel files
- Support payroll and make sure records are accurate and on time
- Keep the books current and work with our outside accountant on month-end, year-end and HST
- Produce clear financial reports so the owner knows where things stand
- Look after day-to-day office operations and pitch in wherever the business needs it
- Spot problems early and suggest better ways of doing things

What We’re Looking For

- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One is required.



You’ll work in it every day for AP, AR, banking, reporting and inventory-related transactions.
- 3+ years in a controller, senior bookkeeper or office/finance manager role
- Solid knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliation and month-end close
- Comfortable with HR administration: contracts, onboarding and employee records
- Strong Excel skills
- Organized, accurate, and able to juggle a lot without dropping anything
- Trustworthy with confidential information
- CPA designation or accounting diploma is an asset, but not required for the right person

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
