What You'll Be Working On

You'll gain hands-on experience with a variety of heavy-duty equipment, including:

- Heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles
- Buses and fleet vehicles
- Trailers and diesel-powered equipment
- Mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Heating, cooling, and HVAC systems

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, buses, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
- Perform diesel engine diagnostics and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
- Service transmissions, clutches, and related components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.




- Conduct safety inspections and complete required repairs.
- Troubleshoot heating, cooling, and HVAC systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and technical software to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Complete oil changes, lubrication, and filter services.
- Assist with mobile service calls when required.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work workplace.

Qualifications

Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technicians

- Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician licence.
- Experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, buses, trailers, or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and drivetrains.

3rd- and 4th-Year Apprentices

- Currently enrolled in a 310T Truck & Coach Technician apprenticeship.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
- Eagerness to learn, develop diagnostic skills, and expand technical knowledge.
- Willingness to work alongside experienced technicians and take on increasing responsibility.

Additional Requirements

- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals,



service information, and schematics.
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
