Responsibilities
- Safely operate 53-foot flatbed trucks to transport freight to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure and inspect loads properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, and safety equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security systems
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel,
and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness and minimize downtime
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of verifiable experience with flatbed 53’
- Valid AZ Licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating flatbed trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including securing loads on flatbeds using appropriate equipment
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight transportation
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
