Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports smooth daily restaurant operations, balancing attentive hospitality with organized service. This hands-on role helps coordinate front- and back-of-house work, guide team members, and maintain a welcoming experience for guests. You’ll work closely with colleagues to keep service flowing and address guest needs promptly.

Duties

- Coordinate daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen workflows.
- Supervise and support team members; assist with team management, interviewing, and clear shift communication.
- Deliver customer service, oversee POS transactions and cash handling, and help resolve guest concerns.
- Follow food handling and food safety practices while supporting consistent service across restaurant and bar areas.

Requirements

Required: Practical leadership, communication, organization,



and customer service capabilities to support staff, guests, and daily restaurant operations; familiarity with food handling, food safety, POS use, and cash handling supports protected, accurate service. Preferred: Restaurant management, supervising, food service, restaurant, kitchen, food industry, or hospitality experience, plus exposure to Micros POS, bartending, barista work, hotel service, food preparation, cooking, or serving. Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.0 – 50.0 per week
