A well-established, mid-sized law firm in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join their growing team. This firm is recognized for its inclusive culture, commitment to diversity, and dedication to both client and employee wellbeing.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing predominantly residential real estate transactions, with the possibility of handling commercial and builder files. Key responsibilities include managing purchase, sale, and refinance files from start to finish; conducting title searches; preparing and registering deeds and charges/discharges; managing closing activities; preparing transactional documents; coordinating with clients and lenders; ordering and issuing title insurance policies; and handling general file administration.

Key Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
- Law clerk diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid knowledge of real estate legal procedures and statutes
- Experience with title insurance software, MS Office, Teraview, Unity, RealtiWeb, and Soluno
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
- Professionalism, dependability, and pride in work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Assets:

- Experience with commercial purchase and sale transactions
- Experience with builder transactions/development work
- Tech-savvy!

Expected Compensation

For a candidate with five years of experience, we expect to offer a salary of $66,000.00, depending on the nature of that experience. Your actual salary will reflect your experience and qualifications.
