We are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Maintenance Helper to help maintain safe, comfortable, and welcoming environments that support an exceptional quality of life for our residents at The Evergreens Foundation.

This position follows a four (4) days on / four (4) days off rotation, with 10-hour shifts consisting of 9.5 paid hours and a 30-minute unpaid meal break. This position will be based at our beautiful Pine Valley Lodge in Hinton.

You little about what you will do as part of our Maintenance Team:

- Year-round grounds keeping and maintenance.
- Seasonal upkeep of the grounds, parking lots, outdoor decks, and gazebos.
- Seasonal start-up and shutdown of equipment and outdoor maintenance systems.
- Regular maintenance of ground keeping machines.
- Winter snow removal.
- Assisting with general maintenance duties.

What you will bring to the Position:

- Experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, or relevant field.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Completes assigned tasks and close-off work orders within the time frame given in the response time policy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.




- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate time management, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Represent the Foundation with a positive and professional attitude.
- Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees.

Note:

- This position pays an hourly rate of $24.11 in accordance with The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 955.
- The successful candidate must be able to legally work in Canada, reside in Hinton and provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
