We are looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Qualified Apprentice to join our field service team working in the Fort McMurray region. This position provides a fully equipped modern service truck and the opportunity to work independently diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment in the field.
You’ll be working on a variety of machines including dozers, pipelayers, loaders, and excavators.
Third-year apprentices with robust hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment on-site
- Repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Perform maintenance and field repairs at remote job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized service truck
- Complete service reports accurately and on time
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience (including apprenticeship)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- Experience working on pipelayers, dozers, loaders, and excavators
- Ability to work independently in field environments
