Times Square Suites Hotel in the heart of Vancouver’s West End (Robson & Denman) seeks an experienced Front Desk Guest Services & Night Security person who is capable of performing diverse tasks. Ranked as one of the top 10 hotels on Tripadvisor, Times Square Suites Hotel features spotless apartment style suites in a great location. This combined with our attentive and friendly staff allows guests to feel that they are living like a local! Our staff are mainly local residents who love to share inside information on our neighbourhood, Stanley Park and the best of Vancouver. We are a small hotel and, as you can see from the title on this ad, we require our staff to perform varied tasks including typical front desk duties, office administration, security, sales and reservations, marketing, concierge with local knowledge, bookkeeper and light maintenance (infrequently). Night person will be required to ensure hotel is quiet and secure. Shifts will be predominately 11pm - 7am or midnight to 8am, minimum 4 nights per week. Training will be detailed and hands on. - Job Requirements/Qualifications:



- Security credentials (BST) - Experience in a local Vancouver area hotel - Comfortable with learning computer software programs - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills - Shows excellent cooperative skills & commitment to the team - Flexible availability - Must be a self starter - Reliable transportation or live locally - Enthusiastic & positive - Sales/reservations skills - Must be comfortable working on their own - Hard working - Able to work unsupervised - Familiar with issues which may occur in an apartment style building/suites/house - Well organized, with good time management skills & able to multi-task with attention to detail - Should be personable and well groomed - Creative and energetic - Must be legally able to work in Canada - Salary/Wage: Negotiable depending on experience - Job Application Process: Thank you for your interest.
