TCP Simple Technologies is seeking motivated, customer-focused independent contractors to join our growing field operations team as Residential Sales & Service Technicians (SSTs).

This opportunity is ideal for self-driven professionals who enjoy working independently, interacting with customers, and recommending technology solutions that improve everyday life. While technical skills are an important part of the role, success is largely driven by your ability to build trust with customers, identify their needs, and confidently recommend products and services that provide value.

Scope of Work

As an Independent Contractor working with TCP Simple Technologies, you will act as a professional representative of the company while managing customer installations, service calls, and solution-based recommendations in residential environments.

Responsibilities include:

- Installing and repairing residential networking and connectivity equipment

- Performing service calls and troubleshooting customer connectivity issues

- Engaging customers in professional consultative conversations to understand their technology needs

- Recommending and selling additional services and solutions, including:

- High-speed internet services

- Home networking and Wi-Fi optimization

- Smart home and connected-home products

- Streaming and entertainment solutions

- Educating customers on available promotions, service upgrades, and bundled solutions

- Maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction, workmanship, and professionalism





- Managing assigned work orders efficiently and independently

- Staying current on products, service offerings, and installation procedures

- Following all company safety standards and customer service expectations

- Previous sales or upselling experience is considered an asset

Technical & Physical Capability

- Comfortable using tools and learning technical installation procedures

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including:

- Lifting up to 60 lbs

- Climbing ladders and working at heights

- Working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions

Contractor Requirements

- Valid business registration (if applicable)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Reliable vehicle suitable for field work
- Smartphone and basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Willingness to complete background checks if required
- Ability to meet insurance or licensing requirements where applicable

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
