Headway Construction is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across finance coordination, sales systems, HR, compliance, and internal processes.
This role is ideal for a strong leader who can build structure, improve workflows, manage performance, and support company growth in a fast-paced renovation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Financial Oversight
- Oversee money collection and financial reporting
- Manage QuickBooks Online (QBO) & Buildertrend integration (cost codes, projects, HST corrections)
- Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare management and quarterly financial reports
- Improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
Sales & Performance Management
- Manage and approve marketing strategies
- Track and analyze leads, conversion rates, proposal timelines
- Improve sales workflow and performance metrics
- Process inbound leads (calls, website, social media)
- Handle and resolve customer escalations
Human Resources & Team Management
- Identify staffing needs and recruit talent
- Conduct interviews and prepare employment agreements
- Lead onboarding processes and systems setup
- Manage health insurance administration
- Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions
- Maintain organizational chart and team structure
- Lead weekly team alignment meetings
Compliance & Asset Management
- Update Health & Safety policies
- Coordinate First Aid training
- Manage company vehicles, permits, and insurance
- Oversee corporate cards (Float) and fuel accounts (Fillip)
- Submit ROEs and manage employment documentation
Qualifications :
- 5+ years experience in Operations Management or Construction Management
- Strong financial literacy and reporting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Experience in HR processes and recruitment
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience improving workflows and systems
- Construction or renovation industry experience preferred
