Job Summary

About Us: Zauq Cambridge is a popular restaurant in Cambridge, Ontario, specializing in authentic South Asian cuisine. We pride ourselves on rich flavors, traditional cooking methods, and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a skilled Tandoori Cook to join our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including meats, naan, and vegetarian items
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently
- Prepare marinades and ingredients following traditional recipes
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen

Requirements :

- Previous experience as a Tandoori Cook or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques and spices
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards

Qualifications





- Proven experience in food service, restaurant work, or kitchen environments
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced setting
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
