The Teahouse at Abkhazi Garden is looking for a Baker/Kitchen Hand to join our team!
We are a dynamic and dedicated team offering an elevated High Tea experience nestled in one of Victoria’s most beautiful and serene gardens.
This is a unique position that combines apprenticing with our Baker and working our seasonal evening tour groups. It is a wonderful opportunity to acquire new skills while working with a small & supportive team.
- Monday from the beginning of May thru to the beginning of October. Training begins in the first week of April.
There is the possibility of some ongoing part time work in the winter.
Job Requirements:
- Previous kitchen/baking experience
- Ability to follow checklists, recipes and instructions
- Organized, able to multitask and comfortable working independently
- Attention to detail and positive attitude is key
- Reliable and committed to quality standards
- Foodsafe Certification
- The ability to legally work in Canada
Starting wage $20 / hr + tips from tour groups
20 - 30 hrs per week depending on business levels.
While the shift plan for this position is relatively fixed, some flexibility is preferred
