Symmetric Machining Ltd. is a small CNC machine shop specializing in custom and one-off machining work. We are looking for a reliable and organized person to join our team as a Shipping/Receiving and Shop Helper.
This is not a warehouse production job. The work changes day to day and includes a variety of tasks around the shop.
Full-time Monday to Friday Day shift
Responsibilities :
- Shipping and receiving
- Packaging finished parts for shipment
- Scheduling courier pickups
- Preparing packing slips and shipping paperwork
- Receiving and identifying incoming materials
- Marking materials with heat numbers and work orders
- Organizing material and jobs through the shop
- Cutting material on saw
- Loading/unloading material
- Local pickups and deliveries in company vehicle
- General shop cleanup and support
- Helping machinists when needed
Looking for someone who :
- Is organized and dependable
- Learns quickly and can multitask
- Can work independently
- Has basic computer skills
- Has mechanical ability
- Is comfortable in a machine shop environment
- Has a valid driver’s license
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift experience is an asset
Manufacturing or machine shop experience is preferred but not required.
