Overview:
We partnered with a well-established Western Canadian operating company to find an experienced Assistant Controller to join its Corporate Accounting team in Surrey, BC. Reporting to the Western Regional Controller, you will oversee the financial administration of assigned divisions and operations across Western Canada and act as the Controller's trusted right hand. This is a hands-on business-partnering role - you will learn how the operations actually run, build credibility with operational leaders, and spend regular time in the field at assigned sites. You will translate financial information into practical business insight, find opportunities to automate and streamline, and help make the finance function faster,



more accurate, and more scalable. You will also own month-end reporting, reconciliations, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and special projects, while leading a finance team of approximately five to seven people.

What you will be doing:

- Leading and coordinating the financial administration of assigned divisions and operations.
- Preparing timely monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and commentary for senior leadership and Corporate Accounting.
- Managing month-end close, including balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations,
