Support Northern Health laboratories through specimen collection, ECG testing, and productive clinical laboratory assistance on rotating evening shifts.

This experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant supports the Laboratory department under a manager’s general supervision. The position performs specimen collection, preparation, testing, clerical work, and other laboratory support functions. It also supports ECG and Holter monitoring as required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect, prepare, and test laboratory specimens
- Perform related clerical and laboratory support functions
- Conduct inpatient or outpatient ECG testing
- Perform Holter monitor testing as required
- Clean and maintain routine laboratory equipment

Requirements:

- Experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Highly efficient and self-directed work approach
- Ability to explain ECG and Holter test procedures
- Availability for rotating evening shifts
- Ability to work under general managerial supervision
