Plan meaningful resident programs with Cogir Senior Living as an Active Living Aide, using compassion and robust communication skills. Support engaging daily activities for older adults in a retirement residence.

Reporting to the Active Living Manager, this Active Living Aide helps organize and implement programs for residents. The work includes preparing activities, assessing participation, supporting outings, and assisting with meal services. Collaboration with the Executive Director, families, volunteers, and other departments supports informed resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement meaningful resident programs with department leaders
- Prepare, carry out, and evaluate daily activities
- Facilitate residents’ scheduled and pre-arranged outings
- Maintain records, assessments,



evaluations, and participation charting
- Communicate upcoming events with residents, families, volunteers, and staff

Requirements:

- College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology, or equivalent
- Previous experience working with seniors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid provincial driver’s license and Vulnerable Sector Check
