Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Buyer manages assigned materials and services for business operations. The work requires purchasing administration, accurate records, and communication across Production Planning, Operations, Sales, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and suppliers. Strong organization and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute purchasing activities according to plans and inventory requirements
- Create purchase orders and maintain supplier records in ERP systems
- Expedite orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries
- Monitor inventory and communicate shortages, delays, or supply concerns
- Track supplier pricing and report significant changes
Requirements:
- Three or more years of purchasing, inventory, or procurement experience
- Food manufacturing or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience processing purchase orders and coordinating suppliers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
