Build assurance and accounting skills as an Intern with MNP’s Canadian team, developing financial reporting knowledge and client service experience.
This internship supports MNP’s Assurance & Accounting team serving clients’ unique needs. You will develop skills across compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax. You will also apply IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE knowledge while preparing financial information and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical skills across assurance, accounting, bookkeeping, and tax
- Set up files and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reports
- Review financial entries and investigate discrepancies or irregularities
- Prepare client summaries, technical reports, and engagement presentations
Requirements:
- Working toward a commerce or business administration bachelor’s degree
- Accounting or finance major preferred
- Working toward CPA Qualified Education Program prerequisites
- Accounting office experience considered an asset
- Accounting and tax software experience considered an asset
