Operate construction and maintenance equipment safely for the City of Thunder Bay while supporting roads operations under established supervision. Proficiency and safe vehicle operation are central.

As an Equipment Operator IV, you will work under the Supervisor Maintenance Operations Roads and Leadhand. Duties include operating classified equipment, inspecting machinery, reporting defects, and documenting time and materials. The position requires routine work with minimal supervision and public courtesy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate construction and maintenance equipment within the classification
- Operate other equipment when required
- Inspect equipment daily and perform minor servicing
- Report equipment defects promptly
- Complete time cards and report materials used

Requirements:

- Proficiency operating equipment within this classification
- Ability to perform manual labouring duties
- Reliability with routine work and minimal supervision
- Valid Class D Ontario Driver’s Licence with Z endorsement
- Willingness to work irregular hours and adverse weather
