Support protected patient transport at Michael Garron Hospital while delivering materials, specimens, and customer service throughout the Hospital. English communication and physical capability are essential.

The Porter works under Facility Services Management in a healthcare environment. This position transports patients for diagnostic tests and between units, while moving blood work, medication, linen, equipment, and mail. Porters also respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, and Code Omega.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transport patients for diagnostic tests and between patient units
- Move specimens, blood work, medication, linen, equipment, and mail
- Respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, and Code Omega




- Apply safe work practices and provide excellent customer service
- Follow Hospital patient and staff safety policies

Requirements:

- Grade 12 completion or recognized equivalent
- One year recent relevant experience within the last three years
- English fluency and effective written and oral communication
- Ability to lift using equipment up to 50 kilograms
- Computer proficiency, email use, and iLearn module completion
