We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at General Vanier Public School.

Our school is an English language primary school which provides a safe, supportive environment for all. Student learning is the focus of a partnership between the staff, parents, and the community. It is important that everyone who enters through our doors feels welcome. The General Vanier staff is committed to providing an effective program which meets the wide variety of educational needs of our students. We have over 80% of our school population as ELLs (Arabic is the dominant first language) and work hard to be a culturally responsive education team to ensure all of our students are engaged in the learning and see themselves and their families in the curriculum. We have a PSN class as well.

Eligibility List

This posting is open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT currently have a part time contract.

- Please note that at OCDSB the term contract refers to positions that are permanent and not Long Term Occasional (LTO) or temporary assignments.

The French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be considered for other French contract positions.
