Arterra Wines Canada seeks an Assistant Manager, Winery reporting to the Estates Manager. You will lead seasonal teams, coordinate operations, and support estate strategy through retail, tasting, events, and administration. The position suits candidates with supervisory experience and wine industry passion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire and train food, beverage, and tasting room staff
- Manage supervisors and up to 30 seasonal staff
- Schedule seasonal retail and patio employees
- Deliver tasting experiences, tours, and special events
- Operate the boutique and maintain retail spaces
Requirements:
- One to three years supervisory or management experience
- Passion for people, wine, and the food industry
- WSET Certification considered an asset
- Understanding of accounting, inventory, and cost controls
- Robust organization, communication, and time management skills
