Operate Side Load trucks for residential recycling collection with Waste Control Service in West Vancouver. Work full time from the Coquitlam facility.
Waste Control Service seeks a Residential Recycling Driver for its Greater Vancouver operations. This position requires a Class 5 License with an air endorsement and involves curbside soft plastic collection, route navigation, customer service, and daily inspections. A Class 3 License and waste management experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Side Load trucks on designated West Vancouver routes
- Collect and transport soft plastic from residential curbsides
- Communicate collection progress and issues with dispatch
- Resolve blocked routes, damaged bins, and equipment malfunctions
- Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections
Requirements:
- Class 5 License with air brakes endorsement required
- Class 3 License preferred for the position
- Two years of waste management experience preferred
- Driver's abstract with no contraventions
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
