Teach children with complex needs as a full time Teacher at Providence’s Windsor Park location in Calgary, using play-based learning and classroom leadership.
Providence seeks a Teacher with an Alberta Interim or Permanent Teaching Certificate. You will plan programs following Alberta Education ECS guidelines, create engaging learning opportunities, and support children’s development. The work includes collaboration with Teaching and Therapeutic Assistants and multidisciplinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan programs following Alberta Education ECS guidelines
- Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities
- Maintain safe, stimulating, age-appropriate classrooms
- Report children’s progress and IPP goals
- Lead and support classroom Teaching and Therapy Assistants
Requirements:
- Education degree from a recognized Canadian university
- Alberta Interim or Permanent Teaching Certificate
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Experience supporting children with disabilities preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
