Vertex seeks an Intermediate Environmental Scientist for oil and gas projects across Western Canada. You will build technical knowledge and report-writing skills while supporting project execution. The work combines field activities, data interpretation, regulatory requirements, and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete assessment, remediation, and groundwater monitoring field activities
- Coordinate projects, cost control, and project scoping
- Develop work plans and cost estimates
- Review data and prepare technical reports




- Mentor junior environmental staff through field guidance

Requirements:

- Diploma or degree in environmental science, biology, or related discipline
- Two to seven years of environmental consulting or related experience
- Experience executing Phase I and Phase II programs
- Working knowledge of Alberta contaminated sites regulations
- Ability to complete extended fieldwork throughout Western Canada
