Spirometry Service Health Care Professionals

The post holder will be part of a team delivering the service as per the agreed service protocol. This will include pre spirometry history/clinical assessment, spirometry +/
- FeNO testing and post spirometry interpretation and reporting. The nurse/pharmacist will ensure patients receive optimal care and will determine what action is needed in accordance with the test result. There will be opportunities for case discussion plus trouble shooting with consultant support. The aim is to help identify undiagnosed cases, provide more accurate diagnosis for those with cardiorespiratory disease as well as optimising the clinical care and prescribing of patients with COPD, asthma and other diagnoses.



We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is significant to us that you feel safe and supported in the role. The successful post holder will ideally be ARTP certified, however training can also be offered. To be successful, you will need to be registered with the NMC/GPhc and ideally have previous experience of working as a practice nurse/pharmacist in Primary Care
